SCOPE OF ROLE:

The role is for a hands-on Analyst/Programmer to work in the global derivatives technology team.  It will involve working across a variety of Front-Office led technology projects, with a particular focus on developing and improving the banks strategic Front Office and Middle Office systems covering processing, pricing, valuation, risk management and improvements to the STP of these products to Back-Office systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / CHALLENGES:
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Partnering with fellow IT colleagues and clients in the Front Office, Middle Office, Operations etc. to design and then implement solutions for complex business problems.
• Design, Development and Testing of in-house solutions.
• Assisting Business Analysts and Software Architects converting business requirements into system solutions.
• Monitoring, managing and reporting personal progress.
• Assist with System Testing and User Acceptance Testing.
• Assist with User Training.
• Provide 2nd-level support.
• Working with the users and IT Management, along with Operations, Product Control and fellow Technology professionals, to understand, capture and manage requirements for improving and expanding the technology platform and its related business processes.
• Contributing to the overall effectiveness of the department and projects.
• Play an active role in helping define and improve the project and the team.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Technical Skills:

Must have practical experience in the design, development, and implementation of proprietary software development through the entire SDLC.
Excellent knowledge of the SDLC in all aspects.
